Why the Hell is Cheyenne Jackson on 30 Rock?
Kathy Bates on The Office? Yes! Of course! Who doesn't love Kathy Bates? We hope that one's for keeps. But Cheyenne Jackson on 30 Rock? Frankly, we just don't see the point.
Maybe we're biased because we just can't stand the guy. (We used to work at a magazine where every single fag was totally in love with him and we would go around calling him Kanye Jackson and Cayenne West like we didn't know who he was.) But let's be real: What has he brought to the show? He doesn't exactly have major star power. He's not especially funny, and he's not even a particularly good actor. In the—what, three?—episodes he's been in this season his presence has barely registered. He just kinda blends into the background while the much funnier established cast do their thing. Chase Crawford brings more to the table on Gossip Girl!
Maybe there'll be some big payoff at the end of the season. But so help us, Cheyenne Jackson, if you ruin 30 Rock for us we will hunt you down!
