TheGetDownnn's TOP 10 SONGS WEEK 2!!!
THEGETDOWNNN'S TOP TEN LIST WEEK 2!!!

Beta blocker’s aren’t just good for calming your nerves before a big piano recital anymore–no siree, now the drugs are also working part-time as a DJ/producer outfit based out of Los Angeles, and surprisingly enough, they know a thing (or two) about infectious dance music. The group’s songs are constructed around solid pop vocals that aren’t overly cheesy and the accompanying instrumental arrangements are certainly fitting.
9) Wiley Webb, Chromeflower
Dark and powerful progressive house vibes which eventually transform into melodic breakdowns-- certain to get everyone in the house moving their hips, and probably throwing their hands up in the air too.
8) OWwww! Head Pop (Endoflevelbaddieremix)
Endoflevelbaddie (and this a word for word bio from the e-mail) “quickly became increasingly prolific in his hometown through gigging relentlessly and outputting CDs faster than usb3.0. Finally upgrading his accumulated experience points, before becoming an unstoppable force to be reckoned with in 2012 and this remix proves why“
This remix is ridiculously cool. If you have even a half of a half ounce of old school gamer in you, then this track’ll make your mind do backflips. Every single 8-bit sound effect you could imagine or dream of makes an appearance, all to a danceable beat. Could you really ask for more?

7) Picture Book, Sunshine
It isn’t peak time club material, but Picture Book‘s “At Last EP” is without a doubt inspiring to listen to, and although it isn’t our usual four-on-the-floor, home-destroying fair it is worth checking out! Florence and the Machine reminiscent lyricisms and beautiful instrumentation make Picture Book an act to keep your eye on 2012.
6) Fil Lavin, Soul Brother (Ruben & Ra's Souled out Dub)
Ruben & Ra give Fil Lavin‘s “Soul Brother” the “souled out Dub” treatment in their latest studio release and although it takes a little while fully display its potential, this track is definitely worth a play through.
Jazzy synth chord progressions, 8-bit pixel bursts and infectious vocal samples make for a killer release.

5) Kites, This Jumped-Up Boy In Livery
Channeling the 80s via some really cool synth work, and those unmistakable, Matthew Phillips vocals “This Jumped-Up Boy In Livery” is a top-notch dance pop track that’s going to go places. If you're craving a little Morrisey but are looking for a modern vibe, this right here is your ticket.

4) Steve Mill, The Streets
Sometimes you know. Other times you don’t. Steve Mill though, he’s got confidence– in fact he thinks You Really Know, well, at least that’s the title of his new EP.
Getting an official release thanks to MadHouse Records, You Really Know is an infectious, feel-good outing made up of 3 tracks that cover various sounds and styles. One thing remains in tact throughout listening however, and that’s an undeniable aura of cool.

3) Justice, Newlands (Who Killed JR?'s French Fried Remix)
Bust out the Ray Ban’s, turn on the Galaxian Lazer and get fist pumping!
Who Killed JR? is back, and better than ever (WordPress tell’s me that’s a cliche), with this here re-interpretation of Justice‘s latest –”Newlands“.

2) Nine Inch Nails, Closer to God (Tall Sasha Bootleg)
Trent Reznor‘s probably rolling over in his wall-mounted grave-bed right now, but this Tall Sasha bootleg of “Closer To God” is straight up dance madness, and althought admittedly a little suprising, would make an excellent addition to any DJs set.

1) Stern*, Shivers
We’ve been anticipating Stern*‘s Infinite Clouds LP for sometime, and now that it’s here, playing on repeat at the office, we’re admittedly a little beside ourselves. Deep breathes. Must. Prevent. Excitement. Overflow.
Whoa. That was close.
Featurng 7 original tracks, as well as a handful of remixes from the likes of Meisterfackt, Xeum, Sovnger, Rubinskee and Herr 2003, Infinite Clouds is a nu disco fanboy (or girl)’s dream-come-true.
