Since Summer has so abruptly and rudely left the city, I don’t feel bad that it has taken me this long to finalize my decision on the much anticipated Song of Summer 2011. Besides, this song wraps up my feelings about, honestly, one of the best summers of my life thus far. There was booze, there was yelling, and I even manage to get mangled by a fence. So what is the tune that sums all this up? Well, it is really very simple… “Eyes” by Kaskade ft. Mindy Glendhill. It’s beautiful, romantic, and the texture of Miss Mindy’s voice is one that makes me fondly wish I remembered being in utero. Also, the album art is sickening.
I hope we all survived these past three months and more importantly, PARTIED FUCKING HARD! It’s going to be a rough winter and a long time before we get back to that beach. Remember fondly and fuck roughly!
