Jonny McGovern strikes again! After nearly creaming my pants in a coffee shop when I watched his last video, “Sexy Nerd”, I was gagging all over his newest single in the first fifteen seconds. “Modified” has the Gay Pimp’s usual campy nature but is brought to an entirely new level with Nadya Ginsburg co-penning the three minutes and thirty seconds of pure silliness. A tribute to every middle-aged woman trying to get in her aerobic activity, just not at full speed; she’s doing it “modified”.
Now, Jonny usually has his throng of sexy, half-naked boys in a majority of his videos (something that we NEVER complain about) but it was nice to see a little diversity in this new video. When it came down to picking the spokeswoman for half-asses everywhere, the choice was obvious. Melanie Hutsell, of Bridesmaids fame, rocked it out like only an SNL cast member could. Throw in a slight Cinderella effect by turning random men around LA into desperate trannies, a few runway dips and drops and I am set for the next week!
