Media Gays Who Still Have Jobs

Out Magazine recently launched the first episode of Team Out: Today, in which editor-in-chief Aaron Hicklin and his staff give us a two and a half minute September Issue-esque look into the crumbing world of gay glossies.
We have such mixed feelings about this. On the one hand we feel really snarky and catty and so jealous! So, jello. Like, lime green jello! Like, oooh look at us, we're meda gays and we still have jobs!
Yeah. For now!
And on the other hand we're probably gonna watch every episode, cause we're obsessed with magazines and how they work behind the scenes. And we'll hate ourselves and the staff of Out while we do it. But on the other other hand, we have to wonder if this is the way to save gay publishing—or magazine publishing in general—by turning the editors into personalities. If we watch Team Out:Today and become charmed by Hicklin and his minions and invested in their epic struggles and moments of office hilarity, will we be more likely to purchase their magazine?
For now, all we know for sure is that we're totally crushin' on photo editor Jason Rodgers, a.k.a. Jason the Black Teen Wolf. Just puttin' that out there.
