Joey Arias is GENIUS!!
Joey Arias is a drag performer, singer and performance artist. He is from North Carolina, originally, and moved to NYC in the late 1970s. Arias performed in punk bands in his youth and is one of the cofounders of Paper Magazine. He started participating heavily in NYC's performance art scene in the 1980s and has since produced many shows of his own, earning much critical acclaim. In Arias with a Twist, Joey collaborates with master puppeteer, Basil Twist for this mind-bending production.
The show runs from September 18 through October 16, at Abrons Art Center, 466 Grand St. in Manhattan.
