Jordan Catalano's "Bad Romance"
We've always sort of understood that the general consensus has been that Frozen Embryos 30 Seconds to Mars kinda sucks. But we're kinda into their cover of "Bad Romance." Maybe that's just because "Bad Romance" is such a great pop song it's impossible to fuck up. Or it could be because this moody, down-tempo version of the song really is kinda yummy! Seriously, Jared Leto has a pretty decent voice, and his cover of Gaga's mega hit squeezes every bit of melodrama out of the song. And he is just generally pretty yummy. Although, when Jordan Catalono changes up the lyrics and sings "I want you open mouthed / and on your knees...I want you leather choked / cuffed of the hand" it does come off as kinda douchey. Like, ok famous guy, shock us with talk of explicit sex! Still, we're a sucker for a cover, and this one gets our stamp of approval.
