So, I think we're at the point now where we can just say that ALL of New York has got the gay. What's the newest neighborhood to lube up, take a deep breath and a hit of poppers? Bed Stuy. This Brooklyn neighborhood, located south of Williamsburg and Bushwick, has been undergoing some changes. Between holding their first ever Pride event and queer friendly bar One Last Shag, the neighborhood is becoming much safer, and, more importantly, fun.
One Last Shag hosts lezzie parties by Tikka Masala, and Jlamar Wright and Haruka Salt, former members of the wild, pansexual shitshow known as BANANAS! Welcome relative newcomer, Boy Please! the 8th edition of which is happening this Saturday, Nov. 5th!
Djs Jack and Jill (no, really!) give you all kinds of 90's throwbacks, ranging from hip hop, r&b, pop and house classics. According to Dj Ejack (it's a good name and he's a total babe), this first saturday party is a "no attitude, funky, retro dance party." But not to worry, you weekend warriors, they keep it fresh with a mix of current pop hits as well. Ejack describes it as if "Mariah, Michael Jackson, and Nikki Minaj walk into a bar." Sounds good to me! Get into huh!
