Mkng Frndz is one of those bands that are so great it makes your heart stop a little bit and maybe kinda makes you sick too, cause you're so damn jealous... Also, they're kinda our pals. And our other pal, Max Steele, interviewed them for Homo-neurotic.com, cause they're his pals too. And this is what he has to say about them:
"MKNG FRNDZ is a tacky dance band. Like the B-52’s are a tacky dance band. Like the young Madonna was a tacky dance band. All this really means is that they are very serious about a good time. Musically the duo, comprised of Daniel Erickson(full disclosure, my BFF) and Tami Hart(my roommate/lesbian wife), is an almost physical presence. They have to be one of the loudest bands around. But more than sheer volume it is the energy of their sound that defies easy description. Dance songs fed through Dad’s speakers turned up to 11, punk songs played by Missy Elliott fans on two-string guitars."
