Exit Interview: Duane Roggendorff
Word on the street is fuzzy faced party promoter Duane Roggendorff is putting in his resignation from nightlife. This week’s Petting Zoo at Rockbar will be Duane’s last hosting gig—for the foreseeable future anyway. So we sent our HR rep to have a little chat with Duane to see how New York nightlife can improve it’s working environment.
AntiTwink.com: What is your primary reason for leaving?
Duane Roggendorff: I'm not leaving, I just won't be getting paid.
Did anything trigger your decision to leave?
My bed and I are getting serious.
What was most satisfying about your job?
I'm very rarely satisfied—just try to date me!
What was least satisfying about your job?
The toilet paper quality?
What would you change about your job?
My uniform.
What would you improve to make our workplace better?

Based on your experience with us, what do you think it takes to succeed at this company?
Low standards?
Did anyone in this company discriminate against you, harass you or cause hostile working conditions?
Define hostile. Re: discrimination...considering I'm not a bear, twink, Chelsea boy, muscle queen, daddy, hipster, theater queen or fashionista, I think I did ah-ite!

Over the past year of hosting, I think I've shown I'll consider pretty much any offer/opportunity/"gift"/invitation/hook-up/solicitation/etc. So yeah! Why the hell not?

I don't want to give anyone false hope that I'm done showing up in random pictures, forwarding event invites on Facebook or talking up in person or posting friends' events to my wall. I'm not.
